Cutting Trees

Today we went out to a tree farm, with the Peacock Family, and cut down our Christmas tree. It's the first time I've ever cut my own tree, okay so Chris did all the cutting, and we had loads of fun!

We bought the boys gloves to keep their hands warm and off we went to the farm. The boys were very excited. Sam loves being outside and Landon has now connected Christmas with presents so he wants a tree NOW so that Christmas can be here.

Sam didn't like walking with us. He was much more interested in the dogs!
They were very big...taller than Landon!

Landon picked several out that were "Landon's tree!" But Chris found the perfect one for us.
Sam has now lost one glove, is cold and getting hungry

Then he cut it down with a little "help" from Landon.

They drag it over to the road to be picked up and taken to be bought.

We were the "blue team" and the Peacock Family was the "red team". Can you see why? By this time Sam was hysterically crying.

While you pay for your tree they wrap it up for you with this cool machine, and then you load it on your car to take home.

This is how we get a tree home without an actual rack on our car! Chris is very good at these things!

At least three out of four of us were happy at the end of the adventure. Maybe Sam will enjoy it more next year. And YES we are bummed that Sam's gloves didn't last more than two hours.

P.S.

The Blue team rocks!!!

Hey Blue Team,

Great pictures! We had a great time with you all yesterday! Your tree looks great. I'd love to see the Blue team's Sam go head to head with the Red team's Hunter. That's a good match.
