I have now been fully chastised (several times) for being so cryptic in my last post. I have my reasons, though if I told them to you, you would probably shake your head at me. I have now been cleared to divulge the whole story....so here goes.
This past year has been difficult in many ways, for our family. There have been a lot of "NO" and "Yes,but...." answers. So in November we approached "plan F" and made a big decision to pursue more schooling. We bought the prep books and Chris studied long and hard. When the big snow storm hit at the begining of February it was a little devastating to us. He was supposed to take the LSAT and then we would get the scores in right on time for the six schools we planned on applying to. Instead he took the test two weeks late and our scores (came back quickly, but not quickly enough) were over a week late for the applications. We turned them in anyway. Chris applied to two "safe" schools, two middle of the road schools and two "almost out of our league" schools. By mid March we received acceptances from our "safe" schools. Idaho's dean of admissions even called us on the phone to tell us they had accepted us. Since then we've been waiting for other notes of acceptance or rejection. Last week we got a letter from Utah. They have wait-listed us. Chris' scores are above the average scores of students in this particular law school, and his world experience and previous schooling gives us a good chance of being high on the wait list. We like to believe that he was put on that list because of problems with the LSAT scores being late. We are hoping an interview will help our case, so Friday, we decided to pack up our stuff and go. We were planning on going west in six weeks, so this is a little sooner than expected and it has caused me a couple of anxiety attacks,(moving usually causes me to panic) but we also know this is the best thing for our family right now.
A HUGE vote of thanks go out to my parents at "Hotel Pace." This will be the third time we've crashed with them in their house. We're hoping it is a short stay so that we don't inconvenience them too much. When I say short I mean three to four weeks max, so it's not all that short, but shorter than our last two stints of calling "Hotel Pace" home.
Since telling the boys that we're going to go see Grandma and Grandpa Sam has been very upset that we aren't there NOW, and Landon says "they can come to my house!" While Landon is adverse to the change(he knows a big change is coming if we are staying with Grandma and Grandpa) Sam is my adventure lover - either that or he has no idea that we won't be coming back to see his friends (specifically Lilly) any time soon.

"nothing is so constant as change." sounds like you have a lot in life right now. Good luck with a cross country move. I'm not at all jealous. Remember that when you're in the Lord's hands it all comes out ok in the end (even if it's REALLY hard right now).
I'm just glad he got accepted a few places so you have options, although that only means more decision-making. Sorry, that always sucks! Glad you always have a "Hotel Pace" to run to though... Good luck with everything!
