Sorry

I know it's been a while, but we've been busy. I'm going to try to post the Update #2 and then show you what we've been doing for the last three weeks......but it may not be today. Today is going to be part recovery part clean-up.

I'm just here to tell family that Sam's bites seem to be infected. His hands are really swollen and the spots on his face are bright red still. I'm applying lots of Neosporin but does anyone else know what to do with infected, week old, mosquito bites?

Call Angela. ha ha! Isn't that what we all do when we have medical problems? I hope he gets feeling better and they clear up soon! Poor kid.

You know how we thought Makayla was free of bites? They all showed up a few days later and she was COVERED! It was the strangest thing. I think they showed up on Tuesday and she had spots on her face and arms. I googled it and there is such a thing as a delayed reaction to mosquito bites.

So weird about Makayla!!!

Thanks Gail, though Sam's bites seem to be getting better. His hands are now mostly normal size and his face no longer looks like he has the beginnings of chicken pox.

I'm glad his bites are getting better! But FYI: this is going to sound nerdy but stop the neosporin! 10% of people develop a contact allergy to the neomycin in it even if they've used it for years without a problem! NOT worth the risk! I've seen too many issues complicated by the use of neosporin and trust me... it gets UGLY! You're better off with polysporin if you want antimicrobial tx or just plain old vaseline to soften and prevent scabbing. :) told ya it'd be nerdy
