There's just not enough time to do everything we want.

It amazes me how much we've been doing lately. Chris has had to turn down several activites in order to study and also get time in with his boys. We've been having loads of fun though.

Last Friday Chris played in the law school soccer tournament. It was a single elimination event between the various clubs at the school. We arrived not knowing which team he would be on, but he got lucky and got onto a team where he knew a couple of the players. I hung out on the sidelines with Landon and Sam and a few friends that showed up to cheer. Chris had several talented teammates and so they played and won the first two preliminary games and then went on to win the final match in overtime. Chris' main goal was just to not lose it for the team and he succeeded. He was able to make the fourth and final goal to win.

After the game we rushed home to shower and pick-up the babysitter. I think it was the first real date we've been on since our Anniversary last February. (A huge thanks goes out to Kristina for helping me find someone to sit for us!!!) We left the house at 8:00, after putting the boys to bed, and headed over to the Plantation. It's technically a bar, but don't worry we don't drink anything alcoholic. Chris' law school threw a party there. The Karaoke was BAD, and it was so noisy that Chris' ear drum rumbled the whole time. (the result of a blown eardrum in Iraq) However, we snacked on free gummy worms, chips, cup cakes, and soda and I was able to meet more of Chris' study buddies. All in all (despite the sour, smoky smell) it was a fun night.

Saturday we drove, with some friends, to Lewiston to experience the parade. It was quite a bit bigger than we expected - more then 2 hours long - but the boys had fun fighting for the candy.

This coming weekend is going to be another busy one. Chris is planning on scoping out some hunting grounds with a friend Friday night while I take the boys to the ward party. Then on Saturday we're driving to Spokane to go to the Temple. (thanks to the stake providing child care!) Chris will still have several hours of studying to do after that and the UNLV vs Idaho Vandals football game is Saturday night as well. We may not make it to the game after all. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how much time Chris has available.

In other news: I'm doing my best to not stress about our financial issues.....but lately I have been approached by people (total strangers really) asking if I could take their kids for a fews hours everyday. Should I be taking some sort of spiritual hint from this? I'm hoping the money I earn from these people (as minuscule as it will be) will help us pay for birthdays, upcoming holidays and maybe even some new clothes for Landon. It's crazy how fast he's growing!
