Even More Conversations

Last Sunday I was sitting in the foyer of church, waiting to be ready to go home. Sam walked up to me, put his hand on my knee and said:

"Mom, when I'm baptized." He seemed to lose his train of thought.

"Yes, Sam? What's going to happen when you are baptized?"

"I will die."

The ladies next to me laughed. One said "Well, at least he got part of that lesson!"

This morning I showed my boys the ultrasound pictures. I tried to explain to them that the baby gets food through a tube that's connected to it's belly button.

Sam: "Can I see you're belly button, mom?"
Me: "Sure." I lifted my shirt to show them.
Landon: "WOW, you have a big tummy!"
Me: "Ummmm, thanks."
Sam leaned over and tried to look inside my belly button. "Look I see it's mouth!"

I guess Sam now thinks I put food in my button to feed the baby. Maybe I should keep my mouth shut.
