Oh Baby!!

I woke up feeling very nervous today. I got Landon ready for school, telling him over and over again that he was going to be okay and that he would be going home with a friend today, and not too be scared. After getting him on the bus Sam cried almost the whole walk back to our apartment. He was very angry with me, because he wanted to go to the doctor "NOW!!!" Sam has this image of the doctor. Where Landon is terrified of the shots and prodding he receives, Sam remembers the doctor's office as a place where they helped him get better when he was having problems breathing. So, strangely, Sam is always excited to see the doctor. The appointment was not for him today, though. It was for me. My 20 Week appointment ...... meaning the long awaited, gender defining ultrasound.

With Landon and Samuel Chris and I were pretty sure the result would be baby boy. The boy names we chose just seemed more solid and real to me than the girl names. This time around I've been a little torn on the subject. At the beginning I was really thinking BOY but the last few weeks my subconscious has been referring to "it" as "she" or "her." I think the nervous feeling was a result of not really knowing how I would feel when the Tech answered THE QUESTION.

As luck would have it she didn't have to tell me what gender the baby is. I could see the answer very clearly for myself.

This coming May/June we will be welcoming SETH LOYAL BOYD into our little family. I couldn't be happier. He doesn't move as much as his brothers did so I'm hoping that's a sign of a chiller personality....either that or he's saving his energy for when he comes out. He's 12 ounces and everything seems to be in normal working order. He is also measuring right on time.

In other news: I seem to be handling my zofran withdrawal symptoms well. I'm not sure this pill was really worth the effort of taking it.

Yea! Another boy to rough-house and play pirates with the Peacock boys. How are you feeling these days? Are the problems you were having in the beginning better? I need to call you guys soon. So glad everything looked fine on the ultrasound. Good luck!
