Thanksgiving

On Wednesday we drove down to Las Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with the Boyds.  It was so great!  Almost the whole family was there.  Chris convinced Wes to deep fry the Turkey and it was the best Turkey I've ever eaten.  Sorry I have no pictures of Thanksgiving, but rest assured there was a lot of cooking, eating, and talking.

This year Chris' birthday fell on Black Friday.  So he and his brothers went out to Fry's (electronics store) early in the morning and came home with some fun new toys.  Happy Birthday Chris!!!  (don't worry I gave him his gifts before we left on our trip)   That afternoon we were getting a little stir crazy so we drove over to the elementary school playground.  The kids liked it on the slide and then the boys played little "monkey in the middle".  I think they had fun.  We were going to play some kick ball but at 70* it was too warm in the sun for all the Idahoans.

Later I went out on my own Black Friday excursion but, though I did look, I didn't find anything I really needed.  After dinner Chris and I packed up the car and drove back to Salt Lake.  We arrived at my parent's house around 3:00 AM MST, and crashed into bed.

Saturday we got up and ate breakfast and then got back in the car to make the 12 hour drive home to Moscow.  We made it by 10:00, just missing the snow storm that blew into the McCall area.

It was a lot of driving but seeing most of our family was worth it.  We missed seeing my sister and her family and Chris' brother Shawn, but we had a good time seeing everyone else.
