Landon

1. Landon loves the Backyardigans.
His favorites are the girls, Tasha and Uniqua. His Tasha doll is the only toy I don't make him share with his brother.

2. Landon is a very picky eater.
If he doesn't like it he makes himself gag and throw up. I'm sure this is common for many children, but it is frustrating for us as parents because he too skinny for his own good. Despite his dislike of vegetables, meats, and generally anything that looks gooey, we push him hard to eat everything on his plate. He's even gained weight these past weeks.

3. Landon loves his grandparents.
He always wants to talk to them on the phone and talk about picking up pine cones. He's constantly asking me if we can go to Grandma and Grandpa Pace's house. He also wants to go to Tasha's house, and just a few days ago he told Chris he wanted to go see Grandpa Dan.

4. Landon likes reading.
He's memorized most of our kid books, so he can read them to us now. When we read to Sam, Landon recites the books with us.

5. Landon's favorite blanket since birth has been his Winnie the Pooh Blanket.
It was made for him by my Visiting Teacher -who is one of the most Fabulous women I know(Robin Taylor Emigration 6th ward). We go everywhere with the "Pooh Bear" blanket, and if Landon needs comforting, his blanket is the first thing I look for.

6. Landon has discovered the Joy of Video Games.
Landon has a V-Smile. When we first bought it for him he wasn't old enough to understand how to play. Since returning from Italy he's played it several times. It's frustrating for mom and dad because we know he knows his letters but he likes to play around and watch himself (on the screen) jump back when he gets "hurt". But he's laughing the whole time, we just hope he is learning something from his games.

7. Landon loves Sam.
He loves to make Sam laugh, and his new favorite game is to chase Sam around the house. When he catches Sam he pushes him around. Mom and Dad don't like the push game, so we try to discourage that, but Sam seems to like it.

8. Landon had a blast riding in the moving truck.
I have never seen him as happy as he was when he got to ride in the moving van with his daddy. When we turned the truck in, the man behind the counter gave Landon a cardboard Uhaul truck that he loves to play with.

9. Landon is a car fanatic.
I blame his uncle Jordan. When Landon was little Jordan would come over on Sundays and watch Pimp my Ride with Landon. He's always playing with the cars that Grandma and Grandpa Boyd gave him a couple of years ago. And recently he's been asking to drive. Chris told him he could drive when he turns 16. To that Landon said "I want to be sixteen."

10. Landon loves Thomas the Train.
When we moved to Italy we brought Landon's Thomas with us. He promptly lost it in the New York Airport. Since then he asks for Thomas all the time. We have to remind him that Thomas is lost and so he must settle for the remaining two cars that go on our track. We're thinking of getting him a new Thomas for his birthday this coming November.

That's pretty good that he has all his books memorized! Does he still run around quoting the backyardigans in Italian? What a cutie.
