orange line, but finally we arrived at the school.

This is the Administrative Building. All of the offices are in this building plus a couple of classrooms on the top floor and the cafeteria. (Which we hear isn't so great)

(Rome)
These are the Bernstein and Rome Buildings. They are across the street and down a little from the Administration building. Most of Chris' classes will be held in these two buildings.
(Bernstein)The people in the school were nice, but seemed a little confused. Most of them thought Chris was a first year student, even after we explained that we had just come from Bologna. One of the ladies was confused as to why we hadn't attended the new student orientation last week. So there was a little confusion, but I think we figured everything out in the end.

These signs were up and down the street. The picture is hard to see but they say -Johns Hopkins Washington - Knowledge for the World. I finally feel back in the school mode.
We walked around the block and found the YMCA where Chris can go to swim and work out during his off time. The school has some kind of agreement with the Y so that the students get a great discount to go there. We also had lunch at a cafeteria type place, that was okay but not our favorite place to eat. (Maybe the salad would be better than the Chinese food.)
We then made our way back to the Metro. I was all turned around and would have been completely lost if it hadn't been for Chris. It wasn't very productive....but at least we know how to get to the school now.
In the end we decided we miss the Bologna Center. It was small and we knew everyone there. This school seems a lot less personable and the couches are definitely less comfortable. Hopefully Chris will feel more at home at the school once classes start up in a few weeks.
