Landon is a sweet boy that loves to run. He tends to follow rather than lead, especially with other children, but he really doesn't care what others think of him, he just wants to have fun. We struggle with getting him to eat enough, but when he is in the mood he can shovel a lot down. He loves learning about the Alphabet but hates answering any direct questions about it. He loves the Backyardigan shows, Spongebob, and any cartoon on the Disney chanel. He loves to play with cars, trains and balls. He's stopped trying to include Sam in his play because Sam just tries to take all his toys, so anything he can do without Sam getting in the way is a good thing for him, though he does love to get hugs from Sam (most of the time).
Sam is almost 18 months and we can't wait to put him in nursery. He's a confident boy, who knows everyone loves him. Sam loves to wrestle. If someone is on the floor he will body slam them. Body slamming Landon is his favorite pastime. He's finally started to crawl on both knees on a regular basis. I guess he discovered that it's easier to crawl on carpet - galloping is better for more slippery surfaces. Now that he knows how to crawl he's decided to walk. He's getting much better at it and I think by next week he won't be falling down anymore. He's also very good at going up and down stairs. Though now that he's started walking he wants to walk down the stairs instead of crawl. I think we're in for a few falls here soon. He can be a very bossy boy. If he doesn't have what he wants when he wants it (that usually means right now)he yells at us a lot. Especially at the table. When he starts to talk I'm sure the fits will decrease. (later I'll post something about his new talking abilities.) Sam is learning how to pray. He now insists that he say his own prayer for every meal. He says "Day Amen!" Usually it's during Landon's prayer so he can be disruptive, but it's too cute to make him stop any time soon. Sam loves to give hugs and kisses, and his smiles always light up a room. Sam just loves to love and be loved....he's a sweet boy!
