A letter for Landon

Today is Landon's Fourth birthday. He's very excited to open his presents and eat his cake...but this post is not about all that. That comes later. So here's a letter for him...though he can't read it, it's what I want to say to him today.

My dearest Landon -
You came here to Earth in your own special way, and spent twelve whirlwind days exploring this world in an incubator. Your daddy was gone for the first year of your life, but you still had a wonderful family around to help you and mommy get through those stressful months. When daddy came home you had a lot to adjust to. You had to share mommy with daddy and you didn't have grandma and grandpa around to give you extra attention. Then you dealt with mommy being sick and cranky and pregnant. Then Sam came into our family and you had to adjust to another person taking your parents attention away from you. We moved to Italy and you were surrounded by people who didn't speak the same language as you, and it was confusing. Through it all you did your best to understand and be good. You've already done so much in your short life....we can't wait to see what you do with the rest of it. We love you Landon, please continue to be patient with your imperfect parents, and we'll do our best to provide the best we can afford for you!!

Love you Always!

Mom and Dad
