It wouldn't be Christmas if someone wasn't sick in our home. It was that way my entire childhood, and it continues as I get older.
Two years ago, (wow has it really been that long?!) on the day of my grandmother's funeral, Landon Came down with a terrible case of the flu. The next day he seemed to be better so we went up to Idaho to participate in the annual Boyd traditions and ended up driving home in a blizzard, stopping every twenty minutes to pull over to empty both Chris' and my stomachs. SO FUN!!! We were still sick on Christmas Eve but were able to get to my parent's house on Christmas day and then to California a couple days after that. We spread the sickness to everyone (sorry!!!).
Last year, in Italy, Terri, Dan and Tasha were with us for Christmas and New Years. The boys got ear infections and Tasha left us feeling very ill on New Years Day.
I hoped to avoid getting anything this year, but once again we're sick (so I guess it's good we're not driving West like we had originally wanted to). Landon has been coughing for around three weeks now, and has a runny nose (which he's passed onto Sam) and last week he had an ear infection. Last Thursday Chris came down with the flu. A fever, the chills, aches all over and some nausea. He pushed through it to finish his finals and then crashed on Saturday. Laura went to church alone on Sunday, in fact she felt fine until about three hours ago, when she started to get very cold and a terrible head ache set in. Chris is feeling, not perfect, but much better. He's taking very good care of her! Laura is a lucky woman! It's also nice to be sick separately, instead of together. That way we can take care of the boys and each other without being too miserable.
Sorry, no pictures, seeing as you don't want to see us in our PJ's looking like Death!
I know you really wanted to hear about our sicknesses...don't lie, I know you did!
