Update

We're still sick. It's been over a week and I'm getting frustrated. At least the fever and temperature flashes are gone...but I'm still living on pain killers. Excedrin is my miracle worker. I wake up when the boys decide it's time to be up, which could mean anywhere between 6:00 and 8:00. I think I might make it out of bed, so I move. PAIN!!! It shoots along the crown of my head and down the back of my neck to my shoulders. My neck feels painfully stiff, like I slept on it wrong. So Chris gets the boys. (he's soooo great!) He makes us breakfast and lets me sleep in until the Excedrin kicks in. (between 9:00 and 11:30) I get out of bed and feel fine for the rest of the day,(except a minor problem with my voice) so when I go to bed at night I'm hopeful that I will be better in the morning. So far, my hope has been in vain.
I watch Chris to see what will come next. He's not in pain anymore, but he coughs...and coughs and coughs. He has a sore throat. Last night I got the sore throat....I see the cough coming.

I really must look on the bright side of things so here are the things I'm grateful for this week:

1. Landon and Sam do not feel like Chris and Laura. Maybe they had this illness last month and we just thought they were crabby, or maybe we have been really good at being careful to not spread it...either way they are good except Landon's constant coughing(which usually happens in the winter anyway).

2. Laura lost a pound. I've been eating a lot of candy, and soda and still I lost a pound. The fact that I lose weight is possibly the only positive thing from being sick.

3. Chris is home on vacation from school, so he is a very big help with the boys. I feel very spoiled. Because Chris is in school, he's home a lot more than he will be when he gets a job. I try to tell myself I will adjust and everything will be okay when school is out. We'll be making money, have better health insurance and be more stable, but I know I will miss having him around to take the boys when I'm frustrated or feeling sick. Being in school does have it's perks!

4. Excedrin...because whoa, the pain is killer and Tylenol just doesn't do it for me.

5. My family, who put up with my constant calling just to hear their voices. I'm missing them a lot this Christmas.

6. Playing games with family. I had gotten sick of Guild Wars(see a previous post to find out what this is). But thanks go out to Rebbecca for giving it to Wesley for Christmas. It makes me feel closer to family when we play games together. (we've missed you this past week Kellie!!) Now we just need the rest of the family to come play with us.

That's no fun that you're still sick. Ugh!!!

When is Chris done with school? Jaron is done in May, and he'll be home a lot more then, and I'm so excited (of course, hopefully I'll be home all day, so that could be interesting). Good luck!

Tylenol is only good for fever reduction. What a joke that they call it a pain reliever. Zar will be done with school in April and then he will actually get to come home after work instead of going to school until 10pm! YAY!

Hi Guys,

Sorry you have been sick! I really know how it goes. Is there anything you need or anything we can do? Get feeling better soon!
