Rolling in the New Year

I woke up on New Years Eve with NO PAIN! It was wonderful. Chris and I discussed it and decided to go to the New Years party that we had previously been invited to. We are still coughing, a little, but I don't think we're contagious anymore. So at 8:00 last night we put the boys to bed. They spent the next hour laughing, crying, shouting, and playing...and finally passed out around 9:00. So we waited another hour and woke them up. Sam was not happy about being awake. We put coats on and drove over to the McFadden's beautiful house. The boys were a little shy at first.

Yes that's Landon under that blanket

Landon stayed under his blanket for a good half hour before emerging and running off to play with the other kids. Sam stayed in our laps until he decided the food was better than sitting with us. He didn't stop eating the whole night, except to jump on the couch and wrestle with Landon for a brief period of time.

We rang in the night with Sparkling apple cider and traditional Boyd waffles. (Sam wanted pancakes.)

We stayed until around 2 talking to everyone. It was nice to get out of the house and spend time with friends. The boys were good for the whole party and went to sleep when we got home. They're good troopers for sure!

Happy New Year Everyone!
Hopefully this one will be just as good as the last one.

I am so sorry to hear that you are sick. I am wondering if that is what Lucy has right now. I have never seen her so sick. Her fever finally broke but she acts like she is on pain. the doc gave me some anti-botics for her incase it turened into an ear infection during the long no doc weekend so I started her on that hoping it will clear her pain up. It's so hard to watch the little ones be sick. Any way I am glad your getting better. Looks like you guys had a good Christmas and somewhat good new years. Hope all keeps going well!

I can't believe they were so good to go out that late! I think my child would be a nightmare. I'm glad you're feeling better. By the way, you're Christmas stocking you made were amazing! I need to learn to sew like that.
