Frustration

At some point during Landon's early life I must have told him something along the lines of "don't get out of bed with out mom or dad coming to get you, or you'll be in big trouble." It's nice that he doesn't get out of bed once we put him in it. He doesn't wander into our room in the middle of the night, or get up several times asking for things before he actually goes to sleep. He just stays in bed, unless Chris and I get him out.

The down side is in the morning, when he needs to use the bathroom. He refuses to get out of bed and go "potty" without one of us going in his room and telling him he can go. No matter how many times we tell him "it's okay to get out of bed and go potty without mom and dad. You won't get in trouble, just go to the bathroom by yourself!" Yesterday he woke me up at 6:30 screaming because he had to go so bad. (this happens most mornings around 6:30 then I can't go back to bed because Sam is awake, and my rule is I don't get out of bed before 7:00) So I told him that I had had enough. "If you wake up and have to go potty, don't scream for us, because we're not coming. Just go by yourself, because you know it's not okay to pee your bed! Just get out of bed, go out of your room and go to the bathroom!" So this morning......he peed on the floor. He screamed bloody murder and Chris and I didn't get out of bed. When Sam started crying we got up. We scolded Landon and put him in the bath. Chris made him repeat "I will not scream for mom and dad. I will go to the bathroom by myself!" Let's hope it works for tomorrow.

Any suggestions people?

In other news:
We figured out what Sam is saying when he shows us a train. He says "shu- Gau, shu- Gau" really fast. It means Chugga chugga. So to Sam, a train is a Chugga Chugga. I should have known. He calls things by what they say. A cow is a Moo, and a duck is a Quack. Why can't a train be a chugga chugga?!

Hudson points to cars and says "Vroom". We've been trying to get him to say car but it hasn't taken yet.
