6 is NOT the new 7

Landon has figured out a new way for us to get up with him in the morning. He doesn't scream or cry for us anymore, he just does this jumping dance on his bed and whimpers. It wakes Sam, who get scared and screams for "MAAAAMMAAA!!!" This has happened the last three mornings. I told you before that I don't get up before 7, so when Sam starts crying at 6 my heart breaks. I'm tired. My subconscious is worried about something and won't let me sleep. I've been waking up several times every night, (3:00, 4:00. and 5:00 usually) so I don't like it when I realize the boys are awake at 6 and there is no going back to sleep, even if we do all stay in bed for another hour. I wish I knew what I'm worrying about. Maybe knowing what I'm worried about, would help me sleep better.

I'm not sure what to do with Landon. This morning, when Chris went to check on Sam and tell him to go back to sleep, Landon raced out the door saying "I can go potty by myself." That's not exactly what we have in mind when we remind him every night as we put him to bed to "go to the bathroom by yourself in the morning." We've told him over and over again that he doesn't have to wait for us to come get him, he can go by himself. He doesn't understand, or if he does he's too stubborn to do it any other way. ARRRRG! So, he doesn't get to play any video games. No VSmile, no Reader Rabbit, until he gets it right. This should entice him to listen to us and do his stuff without waiting for us to open the bedroom door in the mornings. He loves his games, so this is quite the punishment for him. Let's hope it works!

Man, and getting up at 6 probably stinks when you're up past midnight playing a game with your inlaws! What time does the sun come up at your house? We tell Makayla she can't leave her bed until the sun comes in through her window. She's been trying to come down at 4 or 5 to "sleep in mommy and daddy's bed" so that's what we tell her so she doesn't come down. Good luck with it!
