So...here are the pictures I promised.
The accomplices to our computer problems.
We bought this slide at the same time we bought Landon's birthday presents. We got a great deal on it, and Sam wanted to play with it right away, but it was for Christmas. So I put it up in the attic storage space and hoped that the boys would forget about it. I think I succeeded because I forgot about it too. I pulled it out about a week after Christmas.
This is our old computer. I accidentally (with the boys help) broke off the door that covers the drives a few months ago. I'm sure that helped the whole computer dying process. We had to put the computer into the safe mode to get our documents off it and onto an external hard drive. It took four hours for just the My Documents part of the computer.
In other news:
Chris is still hoping to have a job when school gets out. His goal is to apply for at least one job a week, but so far we've received no replies. I'm wondering if it's just too early for them to want to hire someone who won't be available until June, or if it's just the economy.
Landon has had no problems getting himself out of bed lately. Yesterday he got up just ten minutes after I put him down for a nap. He was immediately sent back to bed, but it's nice that he will do it all on his own.
Sam's new favorite phrase is "I thad." He usually says this when I ask him why he's whining or crying at me. I'm glad he can identify when he's feeling sad....now if he would stop using it as an excuse to throw tantrums all the time it might be cute.
Laura is doing the usual. Just trying to stay sane while staying in-doors, out of the cold, with two restless boys. In the Summer she will probably be doing the same. Staying in-doors, away from the heat and the bugs. Also - In the last two months I've only lost about 2 pounds...however I've lost several inches around my ribs and stomach, which is what I really want. It's all thanks to a wonderful Cousin-by-marrage, who got me rolling. Life is good!
