Thus begins a series of SEVERAL posts that document the recent and ongoing invasion of my home, by many, many people. These are people we love very much, so we are happy they came to stay and make our lives a little more exciting, for just a little while, this summer.
On Saturday July 11, Chris' mom Terri, and sister Tasha arrived. We were very excited to see them. Other than visiting the local pool (The Water Mines, for those of you who are familiar with this area) and exploring our favorite grocery stores, we didn't go anywhere exciting. Mostly we stayed home, out of the heat and humidity. So I didn't take many pictures. Though we did visit the park and I think everyone enjoyed it.
Tasha was kind enough to play with Landon a lot at the park, while I followed Sam around, which is why I have more pictures of Sam.
On Thursday July 16, Chris' brother Wes and his family joined us(More on their visit later) While Shawn and his family spent the night with some friends and joined us on Friday (more on them later as well). We didn't plan to have so many visitors all at once but that's just how it happened.
Terri and Tasha flew out Saturday morning, I'm sure they were happy to get away from the Chaos, but we missed them when they left. It's always nice to spend time with them, Terri always has great stories to tell, and new things to teach me. Chris and Tasha are always teasing and laughing with each other, and she's great with the boys. We only wish Dan could have come too, though we understand just how busy he is. When they left, Chris promised to go to California to visit them soon. I have to agree, it's definitely our turn to make the long trip.
