It being Halloween, I decided to let Landon get into his Doctor's costume.

He loved it.

So when Sam woke up from his nap I felt bad that he didn't have anything fun to wear. So I decided that if that elephant costume was still in the store I would get it for him and the boys could trick-or-treat at a few houses. Chris drove me to the store and we were surprised to find, among the five remaining costumes in the store was Sam's 3T elephant costume - for 50% off.

We forced him into it and took some pictures, then went outside to play. I took the boys to a couple of houses while Chris stayed to give out candy, then we switched. Our Next door neighbors are great! They loaded the boys up with a blow-fish toy, a flashlight, a Halloween straw and major candy. They also had a small table with hot cider and mulled wine for the neighbors.

Landon was afraid of the usual things walking around the neighborhood - namely dogs, but Sam surprised Chris when he screamed and ran away from another little boy who was dressed in the "Scream" mask. All in all I think the boys had fun, and we don't think we coughed on anyone. I don't think we're going to take the boys to church tomorrow, though. I just don't like the idea of Sam or Landon coughing all over their teachers and the other kids, but maybe I'll take Landon to school on Monday - if he's acting like he is tonight, and if his cough has gotten better. I guess it's that I don't want to get the people I know, sick. I'm okay with infecting total strangers.

Oh good! I'm so glad you guys are feeling better. With all of you feeling the way you did, Landon's costume was pretty fitting! And of course Sam was adorable. What is the "scream" costume?

Love the elephant costume! Even better- 50% off! That flu is something else isn't it. Hope you guys are feeling better. I've taken care of LOTS of people in the ER with the swine flu. I guess you don't need the vaccine now!
