For Halloween, tonight, I'm tempted to post a sign outside that says "This house has the H1N1 virus and is still contagious." It wouldn't be lying because Landon still has a slight fever...though technically we were never diagnosed with the piggy virus I'm pretty sure that's what's been hanging around my body for the past week.
Chris started to feel sick last Thursday evening. We took his temperature and when it came out at 102 we decided to lock down the house. With the H1N1 running rampant around the neighborhood we thought it only prudent. By Sunday night we were all feeling miserable. We got through it with lots of movies, constant drugs and friends who brought milk to us midweek.
Chris is now feeling better, (he even went to Soccer today) but we're not going out for Halloween. We missed the ward Trunk-or-treat last night, and we're going to miss activities at Landon's Primary Teacher's house tonight. It's really too bad, because Landon was really looking forward to being a doctor. (though for most of the month he insisted that he wanted to be a knight so he could have a sword) Sam never made the final decision about what he wanted to be. I think if we weren't sick we would force him into the Elephant costume we found for him (but never bought).
I think the virus is gone now, but in hopes of not passing on our germs we're being extra-careful. That and, with this sinus infection, I still feel like death warmed over.
All in all not the greatest Halloween for us.

Oh no! I'm so sorry you guys were sick & missed all the festivities. The same thing happened to us. Only a couple weeks ago. I suspected that both my kids had the H1N1, but never had them tested. They were sick for a week. Kenzie missed her preschool field trip to Cold Stone, and I think I was more disappointed than she was. I really wanted her to be able to go to that. Why do kids have to get sick at the worst times?
So true. Landon missed his class photos.
