Sleeping

I'm not sure if any of you have noticed, but there are A LOT of buses around here.

Big yellow buses EVERYWHERE!!! Okay, so maybe you haven't noticed.....but Sam has. He's constantly talking about them.

"Where bus mom? See bus?! WANNA FIND BUS MOM!!!!!"

Even in the evenings, when the buses are no longer running, Sam prattles on about finding a bus. So I've started telling him that the buses are sleeping. You might think that this doesn't satisfy his need for a bus...but it does. When informed that the buses are at home, he switches to shouting

"WHERE FIRETRUCK?!!!"

The other day, I tried to tell him that since it was pouring rain outside, the firetrucks were probably home and sleeping, just like the buses. Not two minutes later a wailing firetruck sped past us.

"SEE MOM!!! FIRETRUCK NOT SLEEPING!!!"

You're right Sam. They're not. (Sigh)
