Update

We left Virginia at the beginning of May and drove for four days -four very LONG days - (I really hate driving across Nebraska!) and arrived in the evening at my parents house in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chris had a good interview with the dean of admissions at the University of Utah, and unloaded our stuff into a storage unit. Then we sat back to wait for an answer from the U. We waited and waited........and nothing came. So we decided to be more active and visit friends and family. We traveled to Logan, UT several times, spent some time in Robin, Idaho and (as posted before) even visited California.

The following are some fun things my boys did with Grandma and Grandpa Pace in Salt Lake.

The city spent a lot of time replacing pipes in my parents road, and they left one of their backhoes in front of the house one night, so Grandpa took the boys and climbed on top of it.

Grandpa has a set of child size golf clubs, and since Landon LOVES to golf on his Wii, Grandpa let him spend some time "golfing" in the backyard. Landon's main goal was to get the golf ball through the croquet hoop.

Grandma spoiled the boys with lots of toys, attention and daily story times. Sam especially took advantage of the stories.

We also climbed up to the cave of Mt. Timpanogos. Landon was really good and walked the whole 4 mile trip. Chris carried Sam up and down the mountain, but he was really good(for me at least) inside the cave.

The mountains of Shenandoah and Moscow, Idaho are beautiful but, I think my heart will always lie in the mountains of northern Utah.

Laura, I'm so glad you have had such a nice break from real life, and have been able to bounce around from place to place out west. I am jealous! I miss Utah so much!! Let us know about the U...I hope it all works out!

I'm glad to hear you're taking advantage of all the fun things to do in Utah. I didn't realize you were out here. We live about 15 min away from Timp caves. Crazy!
