Isn't that what my dad looks like in this photo? Justsome random guy who decided to sleep on my front lawn. He wasn't actually sleeping, but that's what Sam thought he was doing.
This past week has been very busy. Chris has been at school very early and very late almost everyday. Thursday he didn't get home until 9:00 PM.. That's 14 hours of work people! I think he's going to have a similar day tomorrow.
My days were a little more fun than his. On Monday my parent's showed up just in time for lunch. they brought a T-ball set for Landon and Sam, and at least 50 tomatoes from their garden. (since my dad planted 40 plants again this year they have lots to spare!) My mom and I spent most of the time reading and chatting while Dad was dragged into playing baseball with Landon. At one point dad tried to check his stocks on my computer and after only five minutes Landon wandered upstairs. "Grandpa. We're playing baseball, but we're missing the batter. Will you come be the batter?" In between games Dad sat outside near the fence trying to read his Kindle. I'm not sure he got very far in his book, though.
On Tuesday Landon pulled out the Wii and challenged my dad to a bowling match. Dad was little miffed that Landon beat him during the first round, but came back to win the second. Which made Landon a little upset. Landon refused to play best out of three and went on to trash my dad in a Wii baseball game.
On Wednesday my parents left and drove home. It was a good visit! I talked myself hoarse, I was just so excited to see them. Here's hoping they don't come down with a cold in a few days!
I spent Wednesday afternoon and all of Thursday and today watching mine and other peoples children. It's exhausting, but I'm that much closer to buying bunk beds for the boys for Christmas. Very exciting!

In hopes of celebrating a little more with my parents, last Saturday night I took a test.....the result was negative. We adjusted our plans, feeling a little disappointed, but not surprised. You know when you're waiting for something and the wait, along with all the other stressful factors in your life makes the awaited event postpone itself.(it has happened to me before!) I figured that's all this week was about. That everything I've been feeling has just been wishful thinking and out-of-my-mind crazyness. I've been really crabby, prone to a random need to cry, I feel like my chest is just a bit bigger than normal, and even though I've been getting 9 hours of sleep every night, I just don't feel rested. For instance: Last Sunday I walked into the bathroom at church(taking sam before nursery started) and I sat there for a good two minutes wondering where the second stall was and why there was a urinal in the women's bathroom before realizing where I was. That guy in the stall with his kid must think I'm totally out of my mind.
To make a long story short(too late!) I decided to take another test this morning. You know, just in case I'm not actually crazy.
So now that I've informed you, you are now obligated to excuse what Chris and I prefer to call my "underlying pregnancy anger" because it's going to be there. Just under the surface....for at least the next six to nine months.

It came up positive.
To be absolutley clear I'm announcing that we are expecting our third child, due sometime around June 4th. Though if things go as well as my last pregnancy I'll be expecting the baby to be born in May.
Whoo. Glad that is over!

Okay... I am SO so SO excited for you guys! Glad you had fun with your parents! Maybe it's just my pregnancy craziness too, but I was so happy to read the news, I broke down crying... no, sobbing. I haven't done that for a while and now Jake is wondering why I am so insane. Anyway, Congratulations! :)
Congratulations! I am so happy for you!
Yay! Congrats! I just told Wes that with as much as we Skype with you guys I can't believe I had to find out about this on your blog! ha ha! I'm so excited for you guys!
Oh, and I'm glad you had fun with your parents. It sounds like they probably went home pretty tired!
Wes said to tell you "woot!"
Wow!!! Great new guys, but I'm pretty sure that you need a new title for this blog post. :) I hope things go well for you. I know the only thing good for you about being pregnant is eating whatever you want....enjoy it! We miss you!
So happy for you little sis! Glad we can be sick together!
I'm thinking about getting my boys bunk bed for Christmas too. After a lot of research I found a great website called bunk bed king. I've actually see these and I know they are good quality, they don't require bunkie boards, they ship for free, they are solid wood, and the set is $328.00. They also come in several colors so you can match it what you already have. Just thought I'd pass that along. :)
So excited for you guys! Girl, Girl, Girl, Girl. Just sending good vibes.
Yay! I'm normally such a faithful blogger-checker... not so much a faithful blogger. But apparently I haven't looked for a while cuz I heard the news when I was down at Wes and Rebecca's! Congratulations you two! Laura, I wish you much less morning sickness this time :)
