This past weekend I took the boys to Salt Lake. A good friend and neighbor died last week and the funeral was this past Monday. She was my mom's best friend for the past 30 years, so it was hard to say goodbye but I'm glad I went. Chris stayed in Pocatello, he had to work on Monday, and while I was gone he moved us into an apartment. It's a nice place, really. I'd rather live in this apartment than the student housing hole we lived in last year. There's just a couple of problems, and they live in the apartment across the way. I was, at first, excited to see the boys making friends with the neighbor kids, but yesterday they started punching each other(hard!) and swearing I decided that perhaps these boys are not the best influence on my kids. Then today, during nap time, these neighbor boys started yelling in through the window to invite Landon and Sam to come play. Since i'm not getting much sleep myself, and I really wanted Sam to get a good nap today......needless to say I was a little peeved. Chris and I have decided to do our best to not let the boys play together......the next six weeks might be long ones. Then, after dinner today we were going to visit some friends and see their new baby chicks and Sam really wanted to ride their horses but when we got out to the car we found this -

we didn't make it past the parking lot.
So to sum up my week.....I'm tired. Lets put my three boys in stasis and I can sleep off these sad feelings for the next week. Sheesh!

I missed you today and wanted to call you. I was so glad you blogged. Send me your new number or cell. We've had annoying neighbor kid problems in the past. It's hard. I know how tired you must be. Hang in there lady!
I am sooooo sorry. Was your car broken into or was the window just broken? Will your insurance cover any of it? Good luck with the neighbor boys. Maybe if you tell them enough times that your boys can't play they'll get the hint Good luck.
I'm so sorry! i know how vital those naps are right now! (ours have been a little rough this week too with our neighbors putting in a new roof... made for early mornings too! sigh. Wouldn't it be nice to have those kids who can sleep through an earthquake?)
So what on earth happened to your window? Did anyone fess up? I hope it wasn't those naughty boys!
When it rains, it pours! We've been dealing with sickness, bug problems, tiredness - and it's just so exhausting - it's like...one problem at a time, please! Hang-in there, Laura. Thank heavens for prayer to get help through the stressful situations. This too shall pass...God doesn't give us anything we can't handle - right?!
