Last Tuesday we drove to Spokane to pickup Chris' mom and sister from the airport.
There is always a lot to say, when they come around and the conversation is never awkward. So it's nice when they visit. Wednesday we enjoyed a beautiful June day in Idaho....snowed in.
Since then the snow has melted but it's still pretty cold and rainy. I'm hoping summer will visit us soon. We've spent most of the last week in town. Window shopping is one of my favorite pastimes and it allows us to spend lunch time with Chris.
Yesterday we took a drive around the lake. We wanted to drive all the way around it but the roads didn't comply. We were able to get out for a few minutes so the boys could throw some rocks, but the wind and the rain were just too cold to stay in for long.
After reading my recent post about the bear, Terri was hoping to see him. After dinner last night she got her wish. He climbed up a tree outside our living room window and ate the bugs and leaves for quite some time. Seth really liked standing at the window and pointing at the bear "OH!!" He would shout, then look at us to make sure we were paying attention to him.
Today was the perfect Father's Day. The boys all wished Chris a Happy Day first thing this morning. Landon announced in the car on the way to church "Dad, I know our church is true!" and Seth was so good in church we didn't have to take him out of any of our three meetings. The speakers in Sacrament Meeting all spoke about the importance of the Priesthood in our lives and we even sang my father's favorite hymn. So when they announced Father's Day is NEXT WEEK I was a little embarrassed that I had told my boys the wrong day......I guess we'll be celebrating Father's Day twice this year.

HA! I love that you got Father's Day wrong :)And I love how you built your story up to that realization. Hope you are enjoying your summer in a new place.
