The End of October is Just the Beginning.....

These months usually feel like the busiest for our family.  We have three birthdays and three Holidays   Many finals and this year we look forward to job interviews and future possibilities.

After finishing Soccer we celebrated my Birthday.  Chris spoiled me with some California rolls and a chocolate cake with cherries and whipped cream.

A friend dropped balloons and a cupcake off for me too, and I got some wonderful cards from parents.  Thank you!!!

Then we were invited to Halloween party with our old Student Housing Neighbors.  Sam ran around "scaring" all of the other kids.  The girls would scream and run away then wait for Sam to come get them again.  Landon was a little embarrassed about his costume because no one knew who he was supposed to be.  Before the party even started, Seth got too hot in his costume and screamed until I took it off..

Yesterday we celebrated Halloween in style.  The Elementary School had their annual Barn Dance.  Sam was excited to have his very own stick horse to take home.

Landon did a line dance to "Achy Breaky Heart" and he knew all the steps and was a pro at wiggling his hips.

After the Barn Dance We went to the Law School to "Trick or Treat" and participate in the costume contest.

Sam went around the room several times, making out with almost a full bucket.  Seth refused(again) to wear his dragon costume so I put a bandanna around his neck and called him a cowboy.  Chris worked really hard on Landon's costume.  He is the main Character of Chris' video game Dragon Age II.  He's supposed to be the Battle Mage named Hawk.  He wanted to be a rogue instead but we couldn't find good looking daggers so he just didn't carry any weapon.  Landon and Sam both won "Most Creative Costume" in their age groups.  My only regret is Sam's hair.  It was jet black when we started and by the end of the night was only gray, but it took a lot of scrubbing with soap in the shower after.  I'm not sure it was worth the trouble to spray it black in the first place.

Today we had Parent Teacher Conferences.  I LOVE both of my boys teachers.  It was wonderful to go in and have a short meeting with women who love my kids and tell me that both my boys are doing well and "thriving" in school.

Next up:  Landon's Birthday and Baptism,  Thanksgiving, and Chris' Birthday.  Whew I'm tired already.

Wow you do have a lot packed into the end of the year! Hopefully it helps those dark winter months pass a little better and faster. I love seeing pictures of you guys and even though it's several years later it's fun to see how you're growing. I can't believe that Landon is going to baptized soon!!! Happy Birthday and Buon Compleanno!
