The WALL
When our boys throw tantrums, fight or are just out of control we have to do something to stop the behavior. We decided to send them to stand at the wall. We started doing this with Landon in Italy, because when sent to his room he would just jump on the bed and play. It really wasn't much of a punishment anymore. The Wall is great because he can't do anything but stand there. Lately Sam has been sent to the wall for hitting Landon. Sam cries and hits his head against the wall until I can't take it anymore (about 30 seconds) and call him to come talk to me. He will then cheer up and give me a great hug. When they are sent to the wall together, Landon tries to calm Sam by stroking his head and talking to him. I find it a little funny considering they are at the wall because they were probably hurting each other.

Bahahaha!! I know that shouldn't be funny but it sounds really funny! Landon's hair looks really dark! Thats so cute to see them standing there together.
Great idea. I might have to use that one. Kenzie goes to time out in the corner, but she never seems like its that big a deal. She almost 'frolicks' to time out with a smile on her face. (slight exaggeration, but you get the picture). Its just not that much of a punishment for her.
I love the picture. What a good thing for them to do together. You're doing a great job with them Laura. And it's not bad to have a kid that consoles others. It will be a great quality for him to grow up having.
Gosh! You're such a religious blogger Laura, I can't hardly keep up! It's so fun to be able to watch those kids grow up and fun to be able to see as their personalities develop more! hehe! That picture is a classic! So adorable that Landon consoles Sam when he's gotten in trouble for beating up on him!! haha.
Oh the wall.. I have fond memories of standing at the wall. It never really worked very well becuase Mark, Jared and I would still goof around while standing at the wall, hopefully it goes better for you. I'm sure my kids will stand at the wall as well.
