I came to this conclusion late last night.
Each life is just a window. A window that is bombarded by pebbles and rocks every day, creating chips and cracks. Sometimes we let those cracks grow and grow. So once in a while that cracked glass falls to the floor and shatters. We can't pick all the pieces up by ourselves, though. There are too many of them, and they are very sharp. It's painful when they cut, but it reminds us of our need for help. So we get on our knees and pray, hoping that our Faith is enough. It's not. We need the prayers and faith of our loved ones too. HE picks up the pieces for us, and melds them back together. It may take a long time, but HIS hard work and patience makes the window stronger, and more beautiful. The blood, sweat and heat from the melding process brings out the colors in the glass, so that in the end, HE has created a stained glass window, and it is beautiful.
