Things we've been doing lately

Landon built a snowman all by himself.  I like to think of it as a melting snowman because it was so short.

Violet found a new way to sit in her Bumbo.  She's much happier this way.

We spent Christmas Eve with the entire Boyd family.  Since our last family picture in 2010, we may have grown in size but we are still as crazy as ever.

My favorite Boyd tradition is the Pyramids.  I love the warm feeling of love and peace that comes with lighting the candles and listening to everyone talk about what the different symbols mean to them.

We had a good Christmas, as always.  The best part for me was watching the joy on my children's faces as they opened their presents.

These past few weeks it has really been a hassle to take Seth to the store.  He knew exactly where his favorite toy was (right next to the check out) and he wanted to spend all day playing with this particular Dinosaur.  It roars when you push a button, so he would sit in front of the dinosaur and push the button over and over.  He called it the "Angee Dinosaur".  Obviously we bought it for him for Christmas, and he was so excited to open the box and push the button.  Chris found a switch on the bottom of the toy and, wondering what the switch was for, he slid it to the ON position and pushed the roar button.  the dinosaur immediately began to roar and walk across the floor.  This scared Seth.  He doesn't like the dinosaur very much now.  As a joke, uncle Sherman made the following film.

It's funny to watch Seth hide from the dinosaur.  He watched it and laughed with me, then said "The Dinosaur was finding me!"
